I’m so excited to be attending the 2nd annual Bennett’s Bash and I’m bringing you along with me! Bennett’s Bash is a fundraiser that supports the amazing people and work being done at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
The evening will include a silent auction with fabulous donors like Kendra Scott, Michael Kors and Vimmia Activewear. There will also be live entertainment from The Aaron Sandoval Band. Along with a plated dinner while guest speaker, Jeff Pearson, Chief Financial Officer, ALSAC/St. Jude shares his story. It will be a great evening for an even greater cause. But what do I wear?
The attire for the event is “Cowboy Chic”. When I first heard that I thought “Oh great! What in the world do I wear?” Cowboy Chic to me means a dressy look with a western edge and a touch of sass. For the night, I have gone with a dress, a tad bit dressier than Sunday morning style, with a nice pair of boots and some bling. Stay tuned for my This or That “Bennett’s Bash” edition to help me decided what exactly I will be wearing.
I will be blogging the evening and keeping you involved but if you’re in the DFW area, join me! Last day to buy your ticket is FRIDAY, so don’t wait! Click here to get your tickets!
If you can’t make it your donation is welcome! Donate here. “During the past five years, an average 83 cents of every dollar received has supported the research and treatment at St. Jude.”
Bennett’s Story:
“No child should die in the dawn of life. Someday, God willing, we are going to beat all the odds and make childhood cancer a thing of the past.” – Danny Thomas, St. Jude Founder
When I attended Nursing school St.Judes was my favorite clinical site. I believe I learned more here than anywhere else about compassion and caring. I learned what it meant to truly go through challenges as a child and as a family unit. I also witnessed amazing work on behalf of the nursing staff, doctors, therapists, social workers/case workers and child life specialists. My time at St. Jude’s along with my experience as a parent of a medically fragile child who has been through many surgical procedures and spent a lot of time at medical facilities has given me great respect for both families of children who are medically fragile as well as medical facilities such as St. Jude’s! St. Jude’s is absolutely amazing! Would love to be able to be a part of the fundraiser! Wish them great success!
