It’s no surprise that I am a pen and paper girl, I’ve been using a planner for as long as I can remember. When I was in high school I had a planner for school and instead of writing down homework assignments I wrote down every detail of the outfit I was wearing, so I wouldn’t repeat it. I think I wasn’t destined to be a fashion blogger.
However, opening a brand new planner can be intimidating. I know for me I don’t want to scratch anything out or “mess” it up, I have this Instagram planner expectation in my head. I can promise you that’s not what my planner looks like in real life. I also like to use my planner to save memories that happened in the week.
How I Organize My Erin Condren LifePlanner
I have a full review of the Erin Condren LifePlanner that you can read here, where I talk about all the details and why it’s worth the investment. Like I mention there, I personally love the vertical layout because I can break out each day by work, personal and blog. I’ve seen a lot of people break out into morning, afternoon and night which is a great idea too!
I try to color coordinate, but let’s be honest, who has time for that? I normally just jot down items in whatever pen I have at the moment. I am a big fan of the Erin Condren pens because they are dual ended and come in so many great colors!
If I do have to scratch something out I love to use the stickers that come in the back or post-it notes to cover up the mistakes or rescheduled events. That way I don’t have to worry about a sloppy looking day.
How I Incorporate Memories
This is something I just recently started doing. I noticed that each week I would have little fun things like concert tickets or pictures, even dove candy wrappers (you know those motivational wrappers from chocolates). I hated just throwing them away, but I didn’t know what to do with them. I started using washi tape or regular tape to put them in my planner, so when I look back at that week I can remember all the fun things that happened.
Below are a couple of examples, I typically just tape the very top, so I can still utilize the space underneath the item.
I can’t wait to get mine!!!! Already ordered a personalized cover and EC pens!
Love this!! I love my LifePlanner, and am always looking for different ways to use and organize it!!
