I already showcased my lovely bridesmaids dresses from Lauren James, but I wanted to talk about a major part of the wedding’s style… my wedding shoes and the bridesmaids shoes.
I put a lot of thought into the small details of my wedding like the shoes. No one probably even noticed the shoes but me. Maybe it’s the dance teacher inside of me, but I think everything just looks cleaner when everything looks the same.
Bridesmaids Shoes
For the girls, I wanted to top of the ultimate preppy look with a pair of class Palm Beach Sandals in navy and white. This was the perfect way to pull together the full look. Because they were sandals, the girls didn’t have to worry about falling down the aisle or blisters from dancing the night away.
These shoes were also something they could definitely get good use out of, instead of a gold glitter heel or an uncomfortable nude stiletto that they’ll never wear again. Because the dresses were on the low side requesting the shoes in addition to the dress wasn’t a problem.
My Wedding Shoes
For the ceremony, I knew I wanted a heel but nothing too crazy. I opted for a a low kitten heel because when I wear heels I instantly stand taller and have better posture. I feel like it just pulls everything all together.
However, for the ceremony I wanted to be able to walk freely and dance with no restrictions.
You will never catch me taking my heels off and dancing barefoot or walking down the street barefoot. It’s something I believe ladies just don’t do. For example, I was at a friend’s wedding not too long ago and lived my best life on the dance floor, so much so that I got a blister on the ball of my foot but you better believe I kept my shoes on.
To avoid blistering feet or hindering my mad dance skills, I changed into a matching pair of Palm Beach Sandals featuring my new monogram. These were the perfect thing for me to freely enjoy the evening. These also made for the perfect transition piece when it came to the honeymoon.
